Halcyon Medical Patient Participation Forum
We aim to meet every 3 months, with a series of open forum events throughout the year.
If you think you can give some time to help and support this group please contact Angela Hegan, Practice Business Manager, telephone 0121 203 9999 or email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Patient Participation Forum
Halcyon Medical is always seeking feedback on our Practice and one way this can be achieved is through patient participation groups .
Our Patient Participation Forum meets at regular intervals to decide on ways of making a positive contribution to the services and facilities offered at this Practice to further enhance the services it provides.
WHAT IS A PATIENT PARTICIPATION FORUM?
A Patient Participation Forum is a selection of patients and Practice staff who meet at regular intervals to decide ways of making a positive contribution to the services and facilities offered by the Practice to its patients.
THE PURPOSE OF PATIENT PARTICIPATION FORUMS
- To give Practice staff and patients the opportunity to discuss topics of mutual interest in their Practice.
- To provide the means for patients to make positive suggestions about the Practice and their own healthcare.
- To encourage health education activities within the Practice.
- To act as a representative group that can be called upon to influence the local provision of health and social care.
- To involve patients from the wider population.
The Patient Participation Forum is NOT for discussing personal medical issues, nor is it the Practice’s complaint system. The Practice operates a robust complaints procedure and details of this can be obtained from Reception or by visiting our website www.halcyonmedical.co.uk.
POSITIVE OUTCOMES OF PATIENT PARTICIPATION FORUMS
The benefits of an effective Patient Participation Forum are felt by the patients, the Practice and the wider community in which it operates.
